The members of the Group started their activity in the Department of Electrical and Energy Engineering of the University of Cantabria in 1999. Regarding teaching, they have taught many subjects of Degree and Master in different engineering faculties (Industrial, Marine, Civil, Mines, Energy). The Research Group has been formally constituted at the end of 2015, but has been working since 2012 in the field of electric power transformers. Before forming this Group, its members have been involved in other research topics such as: quality of electricity supply, renewable energy, electricity demand planning and decision support systems..
Dielectric oils of both mineral and vegetable origin.
Analysis of the effect of the addition of nanoparticles in dielectric oils.
Simulation by means of finite elements, ANSYS,COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS, of the fluid-thermal behavior of transformer dielectric oil
